The University of Groningen has a long cooperation history with Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), Mexico’s leading university and one of the best in Latin America.
Cooperation ranges from basic student exchange to research cooperation, a double degree doctoral programme, co-coordination of the Erasmus Mundus Action 2 programme EURICA, and participation in the new Erasmus+ International Master in Innovative Medicine (IMIM).
It is key that cooperation between UNAM and Groningen first and foremost benefits the quality of research and education. Our role is to develop different cooperation initiatives in support of this. In order for our internationalisation program to have relevance, we continuously respond to changing circumstances.
